Amendments Approved In Hajj Policy 2024. The Federal Cabinet has approved the amendment of the Hajj Policy 2024. According to which children under 10 years of age are also eligible for Hajj. A federal meeting was held in Islamabad on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar. It was decided to return the unused quota of public and private schemes to Saudi Arabia and approve the amendment of the Hajj Policy 2024. 

وفاقی کابینہ نے حج پالیسی 2024 میں ترمیم کی منظوری دی ہے.  جس کے تحت 10 سال سے کم عمر کے بچے بھی حج کی ادائیگی کے لیے اہل ہیں.  وزیراعظم انوار الحق کاکڑ کی زیر صدارت اسلام اباد میں بدھ کو وفاقی کا بنا کا اجلاس ہوا.  جس میں سرکاری اور نجی سکیموں کا غیر استعمال شدہ کوٹہ  سعودی عرب کو واپس کرنے کا فیصلہ کرتے ہوئے حج پالیسی 2024 میں ترمیم کی منظوری دی گئی. 

It was decided in the meeting that according to the rules of the Saudi government, a comprehensive monitoring system will be established to formalize the financial affairs of the organizers of Hajj groups. The cabinet also approved the reduction in the concessional quota. The federal cabinet decided that 50 percent of the local assistants would consist of Pakistani students studying in Saudi universities and they would be appointed. 

According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister’s House, the cabinet decided that the condition of having a servant for people over 80 years of age in private Hajj schemes will be relaxed. So we will make a contract with the Hajj Group Organizer Haji. 

Under which local support services will be obtained during the stay in Saudi Arabia. According to the report, this point will be included in the contract for service provision. And for violating this, the Hajj group organizer can be fined and blacklisted.

Other Decisions Of The Federal Cabinet

The Federal Cabinet also approved the addition of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Kyrgyz Republic to the business visa list on the recommendation of the Federal Ministry of Interior. The Federal Cabinet approved the removal of 18 names from the ECL and the addition of nine new names to the list on the recommendation of the Federal Ministry of Interior.

On the recommendation of the Federal Ministry of Maritime Affairs, the Federal Cabinet approved the signing of the Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Friendly Recycling of Ships 2009 and the drafting of the accession agreement in this regard. Under this convention, Pakistan will legislate for ship recycling and train and build the capacity of relevant officials in this regard.
